Anhydrous products are not prone to grow bugs so may not even need a
preservative. But anhydrous products usually do need an antioxidant. There are a
number of different antioxidants that would work to prolong the shelf-life of
the oils and butters, but for a lip product, I'd choose our Rosemary
Antioxidant CO2 Extract at 0.05%:

In addition to helping to delay oxidation, the Rosemary Antioxidant CO2
Extract offers some antimicrobial activity AND serves as an anti-irritant.
Recent studies have shown certain constituents that are contained in sage and
rosemary (phenolic diterpenes) have powerful antiinflammatory capabilities. This
would be a far better option than aloe - particularly for an anhydrous
product. Any Rosemary Extract would probably work, but for this purpose I'd
prefer the very clean, solvent free Organic CO2 Rosemary Extract that has been
standardized.
Just a thought!
