> Have you made a conscious decision to switch your personal care products to natural/organic products? Is it important to you if things are handmade? Would you prefer if you could purchase products at the local grocery store rather than online, even if it meant including synthetic preservatives?

I am very conscious about my personal care products and I go out of my way to purchase them, sometimes at great inconvenience. I look for several things outside of just ingredients, especially company policies on the environment and employment. Plus, cost--after all, a tube of mascara that can only be used for three months shouldn't cost $25.00! However, I have purchased items from the new Organic Wear by Physician's Formula, which have received a high safety rating from the EWG. I will use what I have purchased, but because their customer service is so poor (answering questions about matters of concern to me as a consumer), I will not repurchase their products even though they are available at the local drug/grocery/chain stores, and will continue to search online for the safest products. I stay as far away from synthetic preservatives as I possibly can!
