If you've got some M&P to sacrifice, you might try it on a small scale first and see how it goes. I can see where it may look cool to use the clear glycerine and mix powdered colors with the salt before adding it.
I recently made 2 batches of sugar scrub cubes using clear M & P, with powdered clay for color, fragrance, and castor oil for extra conditioning, but it did knock back the bubbles I usually get from that particular clear, which was Stephenson's SLS free clear.
