I have been making soap since the late '80's, and candles since the late '90's. However, due to circumstances in my life, I had to stop doing both for a few years. I got back into candle making about a year and a half ago, and just this month have started back into soap making. In ways it's kind of like riding a bicycle - you never forget. But there are things I've forgotten, and some things are a bit different, new techniques are being used, some suppliers that I used have gone out of business and new suppliers have emerged. So, I guess I need to catch up on all the new things and figure out which suppliers to use. As far as candle supplies, I've pretty much got that under control. And, as for soap supplies, I am trying to find a local supplier for lye in bulk. But, if I can't do that, I have pretty much figured out where to get that online. I do need to find who to use for things like colorants, labels, and packaging.
I hope that I can be helpful to someone! If anyone needs help,  just ask. If I can answer, I will. 
I am looking forward to seeing (and participating) in some activity on this group, as well as 'meeting' and 'getting to know' everyone.
