Hi Im new here and starting off by asking a question.
i have bought a cream from my local parlor and it has worked
wonderfully well on my skin. it is supposed to be applied at night and
it has actually lightened my skin almost 2-3 tones.and i have received
wonderful compliments on my skin.
Now I wanted to know if there if there is any way to know the contents
of this skin cream??
im guessing a bit of glycolic acid may have been used in this cream,
as it is used a lot in chemical peels.
one more thing i wud like to add although my skin tone has gone
lighter i have acne and pimple marks which have reduced not so nicely
as the skin pigmentation i had developed over the years.
kindly suggest me a way to understand the skin cream contents.
thanks.

Hi Leandra,
It's fine for this person to withhold information about her recipe, but it's
against FDA Labeling Guidelines to sell a cosmetic product without an
ingredient listing:
_http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-lab1.html_
(http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-lab1.html)

Maybe this person isn't familiar with the regs, perhaps you want to let her
know.

By the way, I'd recommend that you do not buy any cosmetic cream that
doesn't have an ingredient listing. To me this is indicative of someone who
doesn't have a clue what they are doing. Therefore, the product could actually do
you more harm than good.
