made it again this year and it was a bit brittle, so I melted it
down and added more oil to soften it. It now looks fine. The silk
fabric melted in the lye bath will make the soap smoother. I added
another ounce of oil in this version, that should fix the problem.
White chocolate lotion
This is very thick, I have been using it myself. It is adapted from
Kelly Reno's books. Try it.
1/2 cup lard
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon white chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon borax
Heat the first 3 ingredients in the microwave till melted, then mix
in
the borax. Stir every minute or so with a whisk untill solidified (if
the water and oil separate add a pinch more borax.) Then spoon into a
container, enjoy.
I use it daily!
White chocolate soap
about 21 oz oil
one tablespoon honey
2/3 cup white chocolate chips
3 1/4 oz lye
10 oz water
one piece of white silk fabric a few inches sq (opt)
heat about a cup of oil, the chocolate and honey until blended. add
more oil till you have 25 ounces. Add the fabric to the water,
sprinkle in lye. When cooled to just above room temp add it to the
oil, stirring till it traces, then pour it into an approprate mold.
Unmold after a few days, cut into bars.
Allow it to cure for a month. Enjoy.
